CLOANTO SOFTWARE UPDATE
THIS ARCHIVE CONTAINS THE LATEST VERSION OF THE FOLLOWING FILES
- Fonts/Personal.font
- Fonts/Personal/8
PROGRAMS USING THE FILES
- Personal Paint
- ColorType
- Personal Fonts Maker
INSTALLATION
- Replaces existing Personal font (in "FONTS:" or in local "fonts")
- "Personal.set" can be installed in "PFM/PFM_CharSets"
DESCRIPTION
This is an extended version of the Personal font, supporting Croatian,
Polish and Slovenian, in addition to the full Amiga character set.
The font is compatible with all versions of the programs using it. A
corresponding character set ("Personal.set") is included for users
of the Personal Fonts Maker. The font is now completely "full": all
256 character entries are used.
In order to support the Amiga (ISO 8859-1) character set, the special
characters of the Personal set, plus Croatian, Polish and Slovenian,
it was not possible to follow existing character set conventions such
as AmigaPL. However, this is not necessary, as this font is used only
for the user interface (menus, gadgets, etc.) of programs like Personal
Paint, and not in an interactive context. The important thing is that
the national characters are displayed properly on the user interface,
and this is guaranteed.
Please note that if the old font is in use, the new font will not be
used until all programs using the old font are terminated, and the old
font is flushed from memory (e.g. by typing "Avail FLUSH" in the
Shell).

It was assumed that digraphs like "dzhacek" could be written by combining
the corresponding single characters. Also, the fact that "Dbar" and "Eth"
are equivalent, but "dbar" and "eth" are not, leaves out one character. If
the need for this arises, it will be resolved in a future font.
